The creature chuckled at that before it began moving. He gradually goes from a slow walk to a full-on sprint after a brief time period to ensure Chris isn't about to fall off. Despite his earlier behavior pre-transformation, the last thing he wants, or needs, is Chris injured. It'd slow them down and they certainly didn't have the supplies to fix a broken leg.

After a time he stopped suddenly, head swiftly moving to one side as he listened. Satisfied with what he heard, he resumed, though not as speedy as before. Long stretch of road ahead of them, and with the sun beginning to set, they had all night in which to travel. Silence lasted a while as Abomination was even less of a talkative sort than Blonsky.

"Most would've run by now." He finally said some time after the first stars speckled the sky above them. "You didn't. Why do you stay?"
