Abomination didn't waste time with a nod. He was simply gone from the cavern before Chris had finished speaking.

A couple miles back were several trees. Not for much longer, though. The giant heaved them up from the ground, roots and all, and tossed them toward the cavern. They would land just a the mouth of it. He had accurate aim when he wanted to. Three of them total, then six, before finally twelve. He broke them down, tore away branches and leaves, and brought several of the smaller logs back into their temporary rocky hotel with him.

He clustered them together into a neat pile for Chris.
